A stone thrown by a protester injured my forehead, nose, and cheek, police officer Saba Nabakhteveli said, testifying in the case of actor Andro Chichinadze, comedian Onise Tskhadadze, and 9 other people arrested on charges of participating in gang violence.
Nabakhteveli has the status of a victim in the case.
According to him, the protest was initially peaceful, but then the protesters became aggressive.
“An employee took me to the emergency room, then they took me to the clinic... They were aggressive towards the police. They were throwing objects, bottles filled with stones, eggs, and various heavy objects.
I have a complaint against the person who threw the stone at me and hurt me,” Nabakhteveli said.
When asked by lawyer Irakli Chomakhashvili if he heard any insulting phrases from the police officers, Nabakhteveli replied, "No, of course not."
