Dialogue is always possible, but with whom and about what?! - The degree of independence, the issue of independence will not be revised! - the leader of the parliamentary majority, Mamuka Mdinaradze, said in response to the Macron-Tusk-Mertz statement on dialogue.

According to him, for decades "we have not had such a degree of independence".

As Mdinaradze notes, all negotiations, including the Charles Michel agreement, were aimed at "what would be taken away from our sovereignty, and if such dialogues are to be held, the Georgian people and their government will never sit on this dialogue again".

"Dialogue is always possible, but with whom should we talk?! With whom and about what are we talking?! The degree of independence, the issue of independence will not be revised! No matter what direction we talk about, we have the greatest achievement today. In addition to the fact that we have achieved serious progress in various directions, I believe and I do not think that a sincere Georgian would think otherwise, that the greatest achievement of today, of our government, is the degree of independence of Georgia that we have. For decades, we have not had such a degree of independence, and this ensures everything else - progress, real European integration, and not some levers used for blackmail. All negotiations, all dialogues, including the Charles Michel agreement, were aimed at what would be taken away from our sovereignty, where would we be limited, where would the external lever be greater than the internal one, and if such dialogues are to be held, the Georgian people and the government will never again participate," Mdinaradze said.
