Gela Geladze has been appointed as the Minister of Internal Affairs

Gela Geladze will replace Vakhtang Gomelauri as the Minister of Internal Affairs. Geladze was introduced in this new role by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a briefing held at the Government Administration.

Until now, Gela Geladze held the position of Deputy Head of the State Security Service. Previously, he served as the Deputy Minister of Education and later as the Deputy Minister of Defense.

It is worth noting that earlier today, Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri announced his resignation.
