"It is a great honor for me to lead this agency, to serve our country and people alongside the dignified and proud police officers and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs," Gela Geladze stated after being introduced as the new Minister of Internal Affairs at the Government Administration.

Gela Geladze thanked the "Georgian Dream" team for their support.

"I thank the Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, for the trust he has shown in me. I would also like to thank the 'Georgian Dream' team for their support. Additionally, I would like to express my deep respect to Vakhtang Gomelauri. Over the past few years, he has made a significant contribution to the process of reforming the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It is a great honor for me to lead this agency and to serve our country and people alongside the dignified and proud police officers and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs," noted Gela Geladze.

Gela Geladze will replace Vakhtang Gomelauri as the Minister of Internal Affairs. Geladze was introduced in this new role by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a briefing held at the Government Administration. Earlier today, Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri announced his resignation.
