If this is a European value in their understanding, then they have been centuries behind Georgian values, - the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili, said when speaking about the joint statement of Emmanuel Macron, Friedrich Merz and Donald Tusk.

"It is unthinkable that such a thing could happen, that they insulted people on a national holiday. When this triangle says people, it means the voters of the radical opposition. Georgian Dream, its voters, 1,120,000 people have been completely erased from modern history.

When heads of state take it upon themselves to speak on behalf of other people, this is undemocratic. Not a single citizen of Georgia has given a mandate to the Chancellor of Germany, the President of France and the Prime Minister of Poland. And they are speaking to us on behalf of the Georgian people. This is not democracy, but the approaches of the 19th and 20th centuries. How all this is being displayed so shamelessly in the 21st century is surprising to me," Shalva Papuashvili said on the Imedi LIVE program.
