For years, Georgia has been fighting disinformation from foreign-funded NGOs and media outlets that do not serve progress but instead try to reshape our values, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said in a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

According to the Prime Minister, the disruption of world peace, interference in the internal affairs of other countries, the struggle against national and religious identity, gender and LGBT propaganda, attempts to restrict family values, the global disruption and censorship of media freedom, and liberal fascism are coordinated from a single center.

“When Georgia launched an initiative to protect its sovereignty and promote transparency among NGOs, it was met with threats and sanctions – just because we dared to say: ‘Let’s protect Georgia. Let Georgia decide for itself.’”

All of the above-mentioned disturbing events – the disruption of world peace, interference in the internal affairs of other countries, the struggle with national and religious identity, gender and LGBT propaganda, attempts to restrict family values, the global erosion and censorship of media freedom, liberal fascism – are coordinated from a single center. We have been calling this center the Global War Party since 2022, while the new US administration refers to it as the “deep state”.

We are glad that President Trump and his administration have declared war on the “deep state”. The well-known methods of foreign intervention - such as USAID and NED, through which the “deep state” tried to organize four revolutions in Georgia in the last four years - have been abolished. The statements and concrete steps of the new administration are indeed promising. However, this is not enough. It seems that the “deep state” is still deeply rooted in the American and European bureaucracy, which is clearly visible in the concrete facts of pressure on Georgia,” the Prime Minister said.

According to the Head of Government, an example of this is the 6 unjust resolutions adopted by the European Parliament against the Georgian people, as well as the bill adopted by the United States House of Representatives - the so-called MEGOBARI Act - which is also unjust and represents an attack on the Georgian people.

“I hope that President Trump will successfully weaken the “deep state”, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on improving Georgia’s relations with the United States and the European Union. We wish the new administration success in this very important struggle.

Finally, I would like to wish success and all the best to all leaders around the world who stand firm against radical left-liberalism and the influence of the “deep state” - who defend national sovereignty, traditional values, and the will of their people,” the Prime Minister said.
