The Georgian authorities had no legal way to extradite me, because the Interpol search was suspended as a result of the appeal of my lawyers. Interpol had no difficulty in finding out within a few days that my criminal prosecution was completely political. Accordingly, the Georgian representatives, on the instructions of Bidzina Ivanishvili, resorted to the bandit path and abducted me to Georgia. In doing so, they violated not only the European Convention on Human Rights, but also numerous norms of international law, as well as numerous norms of the country in which I was.
