France, Poland and some other countries should show more hospitality, we don’t need to learn it from anyone, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told the media, responding to the statements released by the French Foreign Ministry and the Polish Embassy.
According to Irakli Kobakhidze, statistics show what our attitude is towards Georgian guests and also what the attitude is towards Georgians in the respective countries.
"When more than 33 thousand citizens enter the country and only 16 of them are refused entry, this makes everything clear. On the contrary, if we take the statistics of Poland, 750 Georgian citizens were refused entry to Poland. Everything is clear, everything is absolutely clear. Georgian citizens did not participate in any rallies when they were refused entry to Poland.
As for participation in rallies, this is raised as one of the issues in these statements, this is incomprehensible. What are 5-6 foreign citizens doing at rallies of 150 people? The relevant state must answer this.
I will repeat once again, if we take statistics, on the one hand, statistics related to Georgian citizens and on the other hand, statistics related to citizens of Poland, France and other countries, everything is absolutely clear - it is absolutely clear what our attitude is towards guests, this is demonstrated by the statistics and it is also clear what the attitude towards Georgians is in the relevant countries, including Poland and France, as evidenced by relevant statistics,” Irakli Kobakhidze said.
For information, France warns its citizens to obtain information before traveling to Georgia on factors that may put them at risk of being denied entry to Georgia, including participation in protests and activity on social media.
In addition, the Polish Embassy urges citizens: “Due to the numerous cases of foreigners being denied entry to Georgia, please consider whether there are any factors in your case that increase the risk of being denied entry, including participation in demonstrations.”
