According to Mamuka Khazaradze, leader of "Lelo – Strong Georgia," the demands for holding new elections and releasing political prisoners remain unchanged and will not be altered under any scenario.
This is how Mamuka Khazaradze responded to a televised statement by the party’s Secretary General, Irakli Kupradze, which concerned the need for a unified strategy among opposition coalitions regarding the upcoming local elections.
He added that it is unacceptable for opposition coalitions to leave strategic formats while discussing the need for unified resistance:
"I would like to respond to the televised statement made by the Secretary General of ‘Lelo – Strong Georgia,’ Irakli Kupradze, regarding the need for agreement on a unified strategy among opposition coalitions around the local elections.
Our demand for new elections and the release of political prisoners is not and will not be removed from the agenda under any developed scenario. We will fight for this to the end, uncompromisingly!
The dismantling of Bidzina Ivanishvili's Russian regime is only possible through a unified strategy and consolidation of pro-Western forces — not by the kind of approach where, for example, all coalitions except us left the President's format, even though from the very beginning we were initiators and loyal supporters of creating a unified front.
Let me also add: no hysteria or attempt at pressure will be an obstacle to a healthy dialogue and development of a winning formula!
P.S. Apologies for addressing you in this format — I’m currently not in Georgia. By the end of the week, I’ll be ready to present in more detail ‘Lelo – Strong Georgia’s’ position and vision on how we will defeat the Russian regime in Georgia!” – Khazaradze wrote on social media.
