Let me tell you that you and your friends have shown remarkable courage and determination in their peaceful efforts to defend democracy, the rule of law and the European future of your country, - David McAllister, Chair of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, told the leaders of Georgian civil society who attended the committee’s meeting today.
“Your presence here today at the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee sends a strong message that the Georgian people remain committed to European values and let me add: you are not alone, we are with you. Thank you for being here and thank you for all that you have done for Georgia and continue to do so,” - said David McAllister.
For information, representatives of the non-governmental sector, including Nino Lomjaria, Eka Gigauri, Keti Khutsishvili and Nino Evgenidze, are visiting the European Parliament.
