“I have stated my position multiple times – Kakha Kaladze is irreplaceable for the position of Tbilisi Mayor,” – this is how Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze responded to a journalist’s question about whether Kakha Kaladze would be the ruling party’s mayoral candidate.

The journalist also asked another question: “Is the mayor of the capital moving into business? Since Kaladze’s statement yesterday regarding whether he would stay or leave was vague, and media reports claim that he founded an LLC called ‘Kala Capital.’

Kobakhidze replied:

“I don’t know it 100%, but 99.9%... This person will be our mayoral candidate. That’s the general spirit within the team. My personal opinion is that he is absolutely irreplaceable in the role of Tbilisi Mayor. What more can I say? I could swear on it,” the Prime Minister stated.
