“Friends, we have made a decision to leave the Strong Georgia coalition and return to independent activity. Many thanks to all the people who voted for the For People party in the elections and at the same time trusted Strong Georgia. Our main task was not to give Bidzina Ivanishvili the opportunity to steal your votes and harm Georgia’s European course. For this purpose, we put aside our ambitions and our goals. Our main task was the interests and love of Georgia. At the same time, we have created a wonderful tradition of coalition cooperation, which we will definitely continue in the future, which is so sorely needed in Georgian political culture. However, now is the time for the For People Party to return to its own goals and objectives. We have active cooperation with the Party of European Socialists and this cooperation is entering a new stage, as we have the ambition to become an observer member of the Party of European Socialists. We believe that this cooperation is a very important opportunity for the For People Party to develop independently, continue to protect the interests of Georgian citizens and significantly support our European choice,” - Ana Dolidze writes on Facebook.
