"Tina Bokuchava is not the kind of politician anyone would bother trying to neutralize politically. She has absolutely no resources. She’d do better to come up with slightly more convincing fairy tales." – This is what the People’s Power MP told journalists.

According to him, the Chair of the United National Movement, Tina Bokuchava, has no real political weight:

"Tina Bokuchava is not the kind of politician that anyone would seriously consider trying to politically neutralize. She simply doesn’t have any resources. She should try inventing fairy tales that are at least a bit more believable. I’d advise her to listen to the hearings of the temporary investigative commission, because made-up stories won’t distract from the substance of those sessions,” said Macharashvili.

For context: The leader of United National Movement – Unity, Tina Bokuchava, recently stated that her husband, Kote Ioseliani, was ambushed and kidnapped by five masked men near their residential entrance. She made this statement during a briefing responding to a video in which her husband apologized to Uta Ivanishvili, son of Bidzina Ivanishvili, for comments made several years ago.

According to Bokuchava, the abductors held her husband for eight hours, subjected him to psychological pressure, and threatened the safety of their children.

She also claimed that Kote Ioseliani was likely held for several hours in the so-called 'Moduli' building (a facility associated with Georgian security services).

Bokuchava believes the real aim of the incident was to intimidate and silence her.

As a reminder, yesterday Kote Ioseliani released a video apologizing to Uta Ivanishvili for past remarks.
