“This is not the first fairy tale we’ve heard from Bokuchava – this lady is well-practiced in making things up,” – stated the Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules, Davit Matikashvili, while speaking to journalists.
According to him, if anyone has any claims, they can address the law enforcement agencies.
"This country has its own law enforcement bodies, a judicial system, and if anyone has any complaints, they can turn to the relevant institutions. The public clearly remembers that we’ve heard plenty of nonsense, lies, and fairy tales from Bokuchava,” Matikashvili said.
For context: Tina Bokuchava, leader of the “United National Movement,” stated that her husband, Kote Ioseliani, was ambushed near their residential entrance by five masked individuals, who assaulted and abducted him. Bokuchava made the statement during a briefing, responding to a video released by her husband in which he apologizes to Uta Ivanishvili, son of Bidzina Ivanishvili, for comments made several years ago.
She claimed that the abductors pressured her husband for eight hours and threatened the safety of their children.
According to Bokuchava, they believe Kote Ioseliani was held for many hours in the so-called “Module” building.
Bokuchava stated the real aim behind the incident was to intimidate her and silence her.
As a reminder, yesterday Kote Ioseliani released a video in which he apologizes to Uta Ivanishvili for past remarks directed at him.
