Khatia Tsilosani nominated for the position of Permanent Representative of Georgia to the Council of Europe

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has nominated to Mikheil Kavelashvili the candidacy of Khatia Tsilosani to be Georgia’s Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe.

“In accordance with subparagraph “a” of paragraph 1 of Article 52 of the Constitution of Georgia and subparagraph “g” of Article 5 of the Law of Georgia “On the Structure, Powers and Procedures of the Government of Georgia”, the candidacy of Khatia Tsilosani is being submitted to the President of Georgia for appointment to the position of Permanent Representative of Georgia to the Council of Europe from July 10, 2025,” reads the decree.

For information, the position of Permanent Representative of Georgia to the Council of Europe became vacant after it became known by the Prime Minister’s decree of June 9 that the Government of Georgia submitted the candidacy of Tamar Taliashvili to Mikheil Kavelashvili for the appointment to the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United States of America.
