According to the Secretary General of the United National Movement, Petre Tsiskarishvili, Georgian Dream is afraid of losing power and is trying in every way to gain legitimacy. Petre Tsiskarishvili assessed the visit of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to Italy and noted that the government will not gain legitimacy through simple visits and trips.
“It is not news to us that recently Georgian Dream has been trying hard to gain legitimacy in the Western arena, but they have not succeeded in doing so by opening consulates and making large-scale visits. If they want legitimacy, they need to share European values, which are democracy, non-fraudulent elections, the rule of law, protection of human rights, etc. What they simply do not want to do, it contradicts their philosophy, their political DNA. If such changes and reforms are carried out, they are afraid of losing power. Therefore, they will not be able to gain legitimacy simply by traveling and in the way they have chosen," said Petre Tsiskarishvili.
For information, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has left for Italy. According to the government administration, as part of the visit, Irakli Kobakhidze will participate in the official opening ceremony of the Consulate General of Georgia in Milan.
