Kote Ioseliani, a former member of the National Movement, stated after an interrogation with a magistrate judge that he has no expectation that the case will be investigated and resolved.
According to Ioseliani, the interrogation was a routine formality with "ordinary questions that anyone would have." He noted, "The investigation had specific questions. All information has been provided. There are all the conditions for the investigation to be completed as quickly as possible. There are numerous objects equipped with video cameras. If there is a will, investigating this case and establishing all details requires no special effort or time. However, time will show how much desire there is and how adequate the response will be."
"I have no expectation that the case will be investigated and solved. The interrogation was a mere formality, consisting of specific questions to which I provided answers. The questions were: What were you wearing? What time was it? Where did you go, and for how long? These were ordinary questions that anyone would ask. I answered them, and that concluded the process," Ioseliani stated.
For context, Tina Bokuchava, a leader of the United National Movement, stated that her husband, Kote Ioseliani, was ambushed by five masked individuals near their residential building, attacked, and abducted. Bokuchava announced this during a briefing, addressing a video recorded by her husband in which he apologizes to Uta Ivanishvili.
According to Bokuchava, the abductors pressured her husband for eight hours and threatened their children's safety. She also noted that they believe Ioseliani was held for several hours, likely in the so-called "module building."
Bokuchava further stated that the real reason for the incident was to intimidate and silence her.
As a reminder, a few days ago, Kote Ioseliani released a video apologizing to Bidzina Ivanishvili’s son, Uta Ivanishvili, for statements made about him several years ago.
