Mamuka Khazaradze: The goal of meetings with Salome Zurabishvili is to restore strong unity to defeat the Russian regime with a unified strategy and correct policy – the country is on the brink of an abyss

Mamuka Khazaradze, leader of "Lelo – Strong Georgia," stated that the purpose of his meeting with Georgia’s fifth president, Salome Zurabishvili, was to restore the opposition’s unity – the "resistance platform."

Khazaradze made this statement after the meeting, noting that he sees the resources to achieve this unity. He added that the initiative for the meeting came from Lelo itself.

"For the past week, active discussions have been ongoing about various strategies – whether it’s continuing political life, matters related to elections, and so on. We are holding intensive meetings with all interested groups. Yesterday, we met with the parents of political prisoners, Rustaveli activists, and experts. Today, at our own request, we met with the President, and I want to confirm that the goal of these meetings is to restore strong unity so that, with a unified strategy and correct policy, we can defeat the Russian regime. Our discussion focused on restoring and strengthening this unity," Khazaradze said.

According to Khazaradze, he sees the resources and potential for restoring unity, especially at a time when the country faces severe challenges.

"I see the resources for restoring this unity because the country is on the brink of an abyss. We must set aside everything and focus on finding the formula for victory. Before we finalize this formula, we must first restore a joint platform so that everyone can see – the homeland comes first!" Khazaradze declared.
