The development of trade and economic relations between Georgia and Hungary has great potential, stated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during the second session of the Georgia-Hungary Intergovernmental Commission in Budapest.

According to the head of government, deepening sectoral cooperation is also very important.

"The further development of economic and trade relations is very important to us. We have very good dynamics in this direction, but there is even more potential. It is in our interest to do our utmost to fully utilize this potential. We believe that the development of trade and economic relations between our countries has great potential.

Deepening sectoral cooperation is also very important for us. Today, the entire government composition is represented here, and we are interested in cooperation in all areas, such as energy, connectivity, environmental protection, agriculture, education, culture, law enforcement, justice, and healthcare. We are highly interested in further deepening cooperation in all these directions. For this, it is very important that the sectoral formats of our bilateral commission develop even further, and our desire is to deepen cooperation in this regard even more.

We are also pleased that the legal framework related to the partnership between our countries is developing, and we are ready for maximum cooperation in this direction as well. We are glad that important memoranda will be signed in the coming days, which provide for the further development of cooperation in various fields.

Your support is of great importance to our country. Our bilateral cooperation is of great significance to us. Once again, I would like to thank you for your support for our country and the Georgian people. Of course, I express my belief that today’s meeting and this summit will make a significant contribution to further deepening and developing our relations," the Prime Minister stated.
