Hate and contempt campaigns are being conducted in Georgia with external funding, including from European ambassadors, and we see inciting steps - we will oppose these processes with all legal methods, we will not allow anyone to successfully plan and implement such campaigns, - Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.
Kobakhidze called on everyone, including European ambassadors, to "refrain from inciting hatred and contempt in Georgia."
According to him, Georgian society needs peace and an end to hatred.
"You see that a hate and contempt campaign is underway in Georgia. This is not unique to Georgia. Similar campaigns are financed from outside in various countries, and Hungary is no exception in this regard. Externally financed hate and contempt campaigns are also a problem here. Of course, we cannot allow anyone to successfully plan and implement such campaigns. Hate and contempt campaigns are being conducted with external funding in Georgia. We will oppose these processes with all legal methods. Of course, hatred and contempt are what negatively affect the development of events in the country, and we have a legitimate right to oppose these artificially imposed campaigns within the legal framework. There should be no place for hatred and contempt in Georgian society, and we have the legal right to sharply oppose such processes.
Unfortunately, we see inciting steps from the European bureaucracy, which is very bad. Ambassadors are also very often involved in all this. Georgian society needs peace and needs this hatred to end somehow. I call on everyone, including European ambassadors, to refrain from inciting hatred and contempt in Georgia. This is what Georgian society really does not need,” Kobakhidze said.
