Trials of Eleni Khoshtaria and Ana Subeliani postponed

The trials of politician Eleni Khoshtaria and activist Ana Subeliani, who are charged with insulting a Georgian state and political official under administrative code, have been postponed.

The reason for this was the motion of lawyers in both cases, according to which Subeliani and Khoshtaria were not represented at the trial.

For information, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is charging Ana Subeliani, Elene Khoshtaria and other individuals with violating Article 173-16 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which refers to insulting a political official. The article provides for a fine of 1,500 to 4,000 GEL, or administrative detention for up to 45 days.
