Nanuka Zhorzholiani: It turned out that not Tea Tsulukiani or Mariam Lashkhi, but Mamuka Mdinaradze sued us - the hearing will resume tomorrow

According to journalist Nanuka Zhorzholiani, during today's court hearing, it was revealed that Mamuka Mdinaradze, and not Georgian Dream MPs Tea Tsulukiani or Mariam Lashkhi, sued her for her Facebook status.

As she noted, evidence was presented at the hearing, including Mikheil Kavelashvili's offensive remarks during his time as a member of parliament.

"Today we learned a very interesting fact. It turned out that not Tea Tsulukiani or Mariam Lashkhi, but Mamuka Mdinaradze sued us. Mamuka Mdinaradze filed a lawsuit. That is, Mamuka Mdinaradze decided that the status I wrote with the goose emoji was offensive. It turns out that Mariam Lashkhi and Tea Tsulukiani did not sue. Mamuka Mdinaradze is the plaintiff. Of course, we demanded that Tsulukiani and Lashkhi be questioned, because maybe they don’t feel insulted and maybe they are in Mamuka’s captivity?! Of course, there is no judge in this building who would decide and dare to summon them here. It is interesting that our evidence was also presented, attached to the case. Our evidence was the foul words uttered by the deputies of the Georgian Dream, when they were in the parliament, when the parliament was legitimate, starting with Kavelashvili, then a member of the parliament and now so-called president, and ending with Dimitri Samkharadze. We wanted to show them how the people who are suing us today understand freedom of speech. We also presented an interview with Tea Tsulukiani in 2019, where she says that “insult cannot be made punishable, foul language cannot be made punishable, because in this case, we would all have to go to prison.” At that time, she was the Minister of Justice. The hearing will resume on June 13, at 12:00,” Nanuka Zhorzholiani said.
