A rally in support of convicted Mate Tavadze is underway near the Philharmonic.

The participants of the rally have blocked Melikishvili Avenue.

As the demonstrators say, “they have come to where it all started.” Mate Tavadze was arrested on November 19 in the vicinity of the Philharmonic.

The participants in the rally are chanting: “Down with Ivanishvili’s regime”, “Down with the unjust court”.

For information, the court found 21-year-old Mate Davidze guilty of attacking a police officer. By the decision of Judge Nino Galustashvili, Davidze was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison.
