Protesters block Chavchavadze Avenue

Protesters gathered on Melikishvili Avenue and moved to the area adjacent to the first building of Tbilisi State University.

After Melikishvili Avenue, citizens have also blocked Chavchavadze Avenue.

Protesters expressed their support to the convicted Mate Davidze and other citizens detained during the protests.

Protesters chanted: “Down with Ivanishvili’s regime, down with the unjust court.”

In addition, protesters performed the Georgian national anthem together.

For information, the court found 21-year-old Mate Davidze, guilty of attacking a police officer. By the decision of Judge Nino Galustashvili, Davidze was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison.
