Nika Gvaramia: I obey the Constitution of Georgia, not the 'Georgian Dream’s' constitution. If I have to pay for that with imprisonment, so be it — I will. I will go wherever necessary, and enforcement will take place: they will put me in prison

"I obey the Constitution of Georgia, not the 'Georgian Dream’s' constitution. If I have to pay for that with imprisonment, so be it — I will," — said Nika Gvaramia, leader of the “Coalition for Change,” speaking to journalists.

He noted that in parallel with his trial, he would “go wherever necessary.”

“What can I say about a case that’s fabricated — just like the cases launched against all political leaders who didn’t appear before that commission? In reality, the commission was created in violation of the constitutional framework. I won’t go either. I obey the Constitution of Georgia, not the 'Georgian Dream’s' constitution. If I have to pay for that with imprisonment, so be it — I will. I know for certain that I stand on the side of truth — before my conscience and before the Constitution of Georgia. I will go wherever needed, and enforcement will take place — they will put me in prison, in Rustavi or wherever they decide.

We are fighting against Russia — this is a situation where we must be prepared for anything. 'In the end, we will still win' — I will repeat what Zurab said. Indeed, in the end, we will win! We have no way back; behind us is our homeland. That’s why we must be ready for everything. This is our historical mission — the mission of our generation. And therefore, we must fulfill it. It would be a dark page in history if we, this generation, failed to save our country — because our ancestors succeeded in bringing it this far, and our future generations demand that we lead Georgia into Europe, just as our great ancestors wished.

I am truly not afraid to say this — Georgia is an amazing country, and we must not hand it over to Russia and Ivanishvili’s puppet regime,” said Nika Gvaramia.
