MEPs stage performance in support of Mzia Amaglobeli, arrested protesters and politicians

In the European Parliament, MEPs held a performance in support of those detained during protests in Georgia, as well as politicians who have been arrested.

The MEPs gathered in the legislative body are holding banners with photos of prisoners. In particular, they are expressing support for the detainees: the founder of Batumelebi, Mzia Amaglobeli, Mate Devidze, Nika Melia, Mikheil Saakashvili, Zurab Japaridze and Nika Melia.

With the banners, they also demand: "Stop political persecution in Georgia".

For information, today, the European Parliament will hold a debate on the case of the founder of Batumelebi and Netgazeti, Mzia Amaglobeli.

According to information posted on the European Parliament website, MEPs will discuss the topic: “Media freedom in Georgia, in particular the case of Mzia Amaglobeli.” In addition, tomorrow, MEPs will vote on a resolution: “Media freedom in Georgia, in particular the case of Mzia Amaglobeli.”
