"This should be a push for the democratic spectrum to consolidate and form a united front, under which the regime will change instantly," said Tinatin Bokuchava, Chairperson of the "National Movement," regarding the detention of "Lelo – Strong Georgia" leaders Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze.
According to Bokuchava, the democratic spectrum must now wake up and unite.
"Ivanishvili’s repressions were announced in advance, so this is not surprising to anyone, but it should still be a major wake-up call for the entire democratic spectrum to consolidate and create a united front, under which the regime will change very quickly. This is the solution that the 'National Movement' has been talking about for a long time, and I am confident that the democratic forces will soon agree on this. No arrest, no detention, no such injustice can intimidate any leader, coalition, party, or society anymore. This is counterproductive for Ivanishvili, and I believe it will be a push for the great consolidation we need for victory," Bokuchava stated.
