The fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, is echoing the planned amendments to the Law on Common Courts.
“Terror in Georgia. From now on media is not allowed to attend court proceedings, outside perimeter of the tribunal building is also forbidden. Nobody present is allowed to film or record. Phones are not permitted,” Zurabishvili wrote on the social platform X.
According to one of the planned amendments to the Law on Common Courts, photo-video shooting and broadcasting by the media will be prohibited in the court - in the court building, courtroom and court yard. The court itself or a person authorized by the court will have the authority to film.
