The court fined Levan Khabeishvili 4,000 lari and revoked his right to carry a weapon

Levan Khabeishvili, one of the leaders of "Unity – National Movement," was fined 4,000 lari for insulting a state political official of Georgia.

Additionally, the judge revoked the politician’s right to carry a weapon.

Levan Khabeishvili did not attend the hearing.

For context, the Ministry of Internal Affairs accuses politicians and activists of violating Article 173-16¹ of the Administrative Offenses Code, which concerns insulting a political official. The article provides for a penalty of a fine ranging from 1,500 to 4,000 lari or administrative detention for up to 45 days.
