"We have a specific goal set: by 2028, we aim to have fulfilled over 90% of the obligations under the Association Agreement. We will actively continue working on this, which must be done through active communication between the government and parliament," said Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during his annual report to Parliament, responding to deputies’ questions.
According to him, the government’s goal is for Georgia to become a member of the European Union by 2030.
"We have a specific goal set – by 2028, we aim to have fulfilled over 90% of the obligations under the Association Agreement. We will actively continue working on this, which must be done through active communication between the government and parliament. In the near future, we also plan to convene the relevant government commission. This is one of the priorities. Our goal is to become a member of the European Union by 2030, and one of the main directions in this regard is, naturally, fulfilling the obligations outlined in the Association Agreement. We will work together in this direction, and we are fully prepared on our part," the Prime Minister stated.
