We see the sacrifice of many young prisoners, politicians who are in prison, and it is with this approach of sacrifice that we will tear down this wall called the Russian occupation regime, - one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change Elene Khoshtaria told Interpressnews at the parliament, where she has been on a hunger strike for the second day.
As the opposition politician states, the main thing now is the unity and organization of the opposition.
"We are now at the crossroads of a very important struggle - with the Russians, practically with the Russian occupation regime. It is very important to have the right strategy for the struggle with this regime. The right strategy consists of several points, the first is zero cooperation with the Russian regime, which includes, of course, not only not participating in the elections, but also delegitimizing these elections and working with the people throughout the country so that these elections cannot be held, just as the parliament, the president, the commission, etc. failed. For this delegitimization, it is very important to organize the opposition, when political clarity comes, the rallies will also move to a new stage. Now people are naturally confused and it is necessary to tell our partners that Georgia is a country where neither war nor hybrid war can stop people from fighting. We see the sacrifice of many young prisoners, politicians who are in prison, and it is precisely this sacrifice that "will tear down this wall called the Russian occupation regime," Khoshtaria said.
When asked whether the government may start arresting female politicians, Khoshtaria did not rule out such a possibility.
"I have no idea when, who they will summon [the temporary investigative commission of the parliament], but I know 100% that arrest is the only tool they use to fight us - arrest, propaganda, so arrest is inevitable, that's why I say that a government that so brazenly arrests, sentences people to prison, whose parents die and they can't see them, playing the election game with such a government is simply immoral, wrong, and a formula for failure. Therefore, they will try to arrest, but we must put up a solid wall of intransigence," Khoshtaria said.
