Minister of Education Aleksandre Tsuladze has stepped down. Tsuladze himself released a statement regarding the relevant decision.
“Today, based on a personal decision, I am resigning from the position of Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia.
During my tenure as Minister, together with the employees of the Ministry, we have implemented many important initiatives to improve the quality of education at all levels, including a number of innovative projects, which I believe the new Minister will ensure are completed.
I would like to thank each and every employee of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia who faithfully serve the development of the education system and the building of a better future for the country.
I would like to thank the Prime Minister of Georgia, my colleagues and the government team, with whom I had the opportunity to do good work for our country,” reads Tsuladze’s statement, which the Ministry of Education posted on social media.
For information, Aleksandre Tsuladze was appointed Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia on October 2, 2024. He was nominated for the post by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze. Tsuladze previously held the position of First Deputy Minister in the same ministry. Tsuladze replaced Giorgi Amilakhvari as Minister of Education.
