Members of the For Georgia party missed all sessions without good reason. Accordingly, it can be said that they are self-terminating their mandate - they have not spent a single minute in the parliament building, although they have received approximately 800,000 GEL in party funding, - the chairman of the parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, said at the bureau meeting.
According to him, the party will be suspended from receiving funding for 6 months, along with the termination of the powers of the deputies.
“We have an issue regarding the termination of the powers of 13 members of parliament from the For Georgia party. 26 plenary sessions were held during the spring session. They have missed all 26 sessions without good reason, therefore, it can be said that they are self-terminating their mandate by not fulfilling the mandate they received in the elections. I would like to remind you that during this convocation of the parliament, that is, after October 26, the For Georgia party has received approximately 800,000 GEL in party funding without having spent a single day in parliament. We would like to remind you of the regulation that in case of termination of mandates, party funding of the party will be suspended for 6 months," Papuashvili said.
For information, the issue of suspending the powers of the party For Georgia deputies will be voted on at today's plenary session.
