Yesterday, a very important meeting was organized by the British Minister of State, which was attended by high-ranking officials, including the French Minister for Europe. It was stated very clearly at the meeting that the course chosen by the so-called Georgian government is unacceptable to our international partners, - one of the leaders of the National Movement, Ana Tsitlidze, told journalists.
According to her, Georgian Dream has seized the state and it is clear that the reaction of international partners will be even stricter.
“Yesterday there was a very important meeting organized by Britain regarding Georgia. It was a coordination meeting organized by the British Minister of State. The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials, including the French Minister for European Affairs. It was stated very clearly that for our international partners, Europeans, who have been the main supporters of Georgia’s independence since the day of its independence, the course chosen by the so-called Georgian government is unacceptable.
It was stated very clearly that this path that the Dream is taking has nothing to do with democracy, it is the strengthening of dictatorship and this will be followed by concrete steps.
When such high-level meetings are organized by the British, they are always followed by concrete steps, especially considering that a few days ago the British Embassy also published a special guide regarding sanctions that affected businessmen.
This process is connected to everything that Dream is doing in this country - arresting Georgian citizens, political leaders, torturing Georgian citizens, they have hijacked the state, and it is clear that the response of our international partners will be even stricter.
The British sanctions and the French sanctions, which should be directly imposed on the leaders of Dream and Ivanishvili, is noteworthy and significant”, - Ana Tsitlidze noted, whose comment was disseminated by the party’s press service.
