They wanted OSCE/ODIHR, right?! Here is the OSCE, here is the OSCE Secretary General, and a statement that put an end to all speculation - it should be noted with regret that the Ukrainian delegation was among the co-authors of Joe Wilson's addition. This is a stab in the back for Georgian society, when Ukraine, which is at war, is trying to undermine the Georgian people. Such behavior of the Ukrainian delegation in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly is shameful, - said the Chairman of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili.

According to him, the war will end and the Ukrainian political elite will have to give a lot of explanations to the Georgian people for "the behavior that the Georgian society saw as a response to support".

“We saw the statements of the OSCE Secretary General regarding the elections, which put an end to all attempts at speculation regarding the Georgian elections. When we talk about the evaluation of the elections, we should remember one thing: before the elections, everyone, including Brussels and representatives of various countries from the European Union, said that the OSCE/ODIHR conclusion would be decisive in assessing the elections. A conclusion was made, it was said that Georgia had an elected government that represented people, it was said that the election results reflected the will, and at the same moment everyone pushed the OSCE/ODIHR aside and started circulating their own opinions. Several months passed and the Secretary General had to make a direct statement to the Assembly that the elections were held and the will of the population was reflected in these results.

It put an end to the attempts of Brussels and some ambassadors operating in Georgia to undermine Georgian democracy. Didn’t they want the OSCE/ODIHR?! Here is the OSCE, here is the OSCE Secretary General and a statement that put an end to all speculation.

As for the process itself, the resolution, we saw that in the final text, due to Joe Wilson's insistent actions, half a sentence was reflected, which concerns the elections and those detained during the violent demonstration. This shows that the Assembly, as the parliamentary part of the OSCE, is used for political intrigues at such times. The position of the OSCE, expressed by the Secretary General, is crucial for us. It should be noted with regret that the Ukrainian delegation, among others, was a co-author of this addition by Joe Wilson. How hard it is to watch this, after the Georgian government has shown support to the Ukrainian people. This is a stab in the back for the Georgian public, when Ukraine, which is at war, is being used to undermine the Georgian people.

In various forums: OSCE, PACE, the Ukrainian delegation trying to harm Georgians....If it weren't for this one sentence, harmful, which was introduced at the initiative of the Ukrainian delegation and Joe Wilson, [the resolution] would have had our support," Papuashvili noted.
