Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze met with representatives of the business sector. The Government Administration has released information about the above.

According to the Prime Minister, economic development is important, including for strengthening the country's positions in the international arena, and special attention will be paid to this direction in the future.
“The Head of Government spoke about the positive indicators in terms of poverty reduction and employment growth in the country. Irakli Kobakhidze noted that 68 thousand new jobs were created last year, to which business has a great contribution, since it is business that creates jobs, and he thanked businessmen.
The Prime Minister also touched upon the positive indicators in the fiscal aspect, low inflation, and the stability of the national currency exchange rate, and stated that the government is actively working to further accelerate economic growth.
During the meeting with business, Irakli Kobakhidze focused on the steps taken by the Government to reduce corruption as much as possible, including personnel decisions. It was noted that corruption hinders economic development and everything will be done to reduce the level of corruption as much as possible. According to the Prime Minister, this political will exists and honesty is given priority in personnel changes.
The Head of Government also spoke about the steps that have been taken recently, including the transparency of all government legal acts, the suppression of the practice of direct sales of real estate, as well as detailed control of large purchases, which is being carried out by the Government Efficiency Department.
