On the night of June 20, there were 2 main actors: on one side was Melia, conditionally, and on the other side was Gakharia, the European and former American bureaucracy fervently defended both Melia and Gakharia. It is good that the Strasbourg Court demanded that we bring the investigation to the end - the Chairman of the Georgian Dream, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, stated at the briefing held at the party office.

According to him, the Georgian Dream will responsibly approach the Strasbourg Court's request to bring the investigation of June 20 to the end.

"As for the night of June 20. There were 2 main actors on that night: on one side was Melia, conditionally, and on the other side was Gakharia. On one side was the storming of the parliament building, a state institution, which was the gravest crime. Do you remember that even then the same European bureaucracy was very actively defending the authors of this storming, the attempt to overthrow the government. On the other hand, which is even more interesting, the then European bureaucracy directly supported the person whose actions led the then processes to a serious outcome. Many people were injured, including 7 people with serious health problems. In both directions, the then European bureaucracy and the then former American bureaucracy demanded that we adopt an amnesty law. They simultaneously, fervently defended both Melia and Gakharia. Both the authors of the attempt to overthrow the government, as well as the authors of the actions that led to the difficult outcome of the processes at that time. It is good that the Strasbourg Court has demanded that we complete the investigation and, of course, we will act responsibly," Kobakhidze said.
