As Bachiashvili's lawyer, Davit Jandieri, told journalists after Bachiashvili's questioning at Gldani Medical Institution No. 18, the investigation was provided with accurate information about the attack on Bachiashvili in the cell.

In addition, Davit Jandieri said that he intends to call the Public Defender’s Office and call on the Public Defender and his representatives to visit Giorgi Bachiashvili for monitoring.

“I intend to call the Public Defender’s hotline and I also want to publicly call on the Public Defender and his representatives to visit Giorgi Bachiashvili for monitoring on Saturday and Sunday,” he said.

For information, the former head of the Co-Investment Fund, Giorgi Bachiashvili, released a letter from Gldani Prison, describing the details of violence against him. As stated in Giorgi Bachiashvili’s statement, the physical attack on him occurred on July 11. According to him, on July 8, he was initially summoned by the head of Institution #8, Davit Gogoberishvili, and advised to open all of his bank accounts, cryptocurrency transactions, and account addresses for Bidzina Ivanishvili. On July 11, in the evening, an unknown person entered his cell and physically assaulted him.
