Tina Bokuchava: Some couldn’t resist the temptation, but the “United National Movement” will be on the front lines of the fight on October 4 as well – we have gathered to say no to the Russian special operation and to fight for free parliamentary elections

Today we have gathered once again, in the name of the “United National Movement” and on behalf of 378 members of local councils, to say no to the Russian special operation of October 4 and to fight solely for free, fair, and new parliamentary elections — said the Chairwoman of the “United National Movement,” Tina Bokuchava, during a briefing held in Mziuri Park together with the party’s municipal council members.

According to her, it is unfortunate that some democratic parties could not resist the temptation; however, the “National Movement” will still be on the front lines on October 4. As Bokuchava emphasized, victory comes through principles and determination.

"Unfortunately, some could not resist the temptation — including a democratic political party — but the ‘United National Movement,’ just as it has been for the past 13 years, will be on the front lines today, tomorrow, and on October 4, and it will undoubtedly raise the flag of victory against Ivanishvili’s regime.

We see daily statements on the international stage — including today, when the European Parliament declared that it does not recognize Ivanishvili’s illegitimate government, will not cooperate with Ivanishvili’s Russian regime, and will cooperate only with a government that will lead our country toward Europe through new, free parliamentary elections.

It is very important that today, alongside me, are the municipal council members of the ‘United National Movement.’ These are people who deeply understand the price of the struggle — including the struggle in villages, towns, and cities, in every corner and region of Georgia. Yes, these unbreakable individuals are the ones who, despite the efforts of Ivanishvili’s treacherous regime, have preserved Georgia’s freedom and statehood to this day. And tomorrow, this very team — the ‘National Movement’ — will once again raise the flag of victory.

That victory lies in principledness, in being uncompromising, in the fight itself. And it is through unity, determination, and principles that we will undoubtedly raise the flag of victory,” Bokuchava stated.
