There is a political culture/tradition that one should refrain from fully confirming [the Tbilisi mayoral candidate] before nominating him - they would never dream of a candidate like Kakha who has no alternative, - the leader of the parliamentary majority, Mamuka Mdinaradze, writes on social media.
As he notes, the political council will officially, formally nominate the mayoral candidates.
“Who will be the mayoral candidate of the Georgian Dream - a fake PR for the radicals out of nothing… “They are dying of interest”, who will be nominated by the ruling party. Just because the political council officially, formally nominates the mayoral candidates and there is a political culture/tradition that one should refrain from fully confirming him before nominating him, they decided to flirt with the wind for a week of “confusion”… they would never dream of a candidate like Kakha who has no alternative!” - writes Mdinaradze.
For information, according to available information, the Georgian Dream will name its candidate for Tbilisi mayor on July 31.
