“Georgian Dream” is in a panic — and rightly so. Anyone who thinks they’ll arrest me easily is very mistaken. Let’s wait and see who arrests whom.”
This is how Khabeishvili responded to a post published on one of the United National Movement’s Facebook pages called “Everything About the Police.”
According to Khabeishvili, “information was posted on the official page of the Ministry of Internal Affairs claiming he was going to be arrested.”
“At around 11:30 PM, a post was published saying Khabeishvili is going to be arrested — this is the official page of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Everyone knows this page is run by the head of strategic communications. By the way, they’ve never written such madness before — like ‘the prison gates are open,’ or that they’re tired of listening to me every evening, etc. All of this shows complete disorganization within Georgian Dream and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Now they’re trying to psychologically pressure me, pretending they’re going to arrest me."
"You’ve got a very wrong impression of me, boys. It’s not that simple. Let’s wait and see who ends up arresting whom. I know a lot of very interesting things about you. I understand their panic — and they’re absolutely right to be panicking. Minister Gela, Geka, or Jeka — whichever name he goes by — is also rightly worried. I’m sorry, but you guys are in absolute chaos,” said Levan Khabeishvili, addressing the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
For context, yesterday a post was published on the Facebook page “Everything About the Police” stating that “the prison gates have opened for Levan Khabeishvili.” The post was later deleted, and the page’s administrator clarified that the page is not run by the Strategic Communications Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
