Kakha Kaladze: The slogan and main promise of the pre-election campaign is - "Peace to Georgia, more goodness to Tbilisi"

Today, Tbilisi and each of its districts is much more vibrant than it was eight years ago, - Kakha Kaladze, the mayor of the capital, said at his presentation as a Georgian Dream candidate for mayor.

According to him, the slogan and main promise of the pre-election campaign is - "Peace to Georgia, more goodness to Tbilisi".

"When I first appeared before the people of Tbilisi eight years ago as a candidate for mayor of Tbilisi, our slogan and main promise was "A city full of life". When I walked around the city, I tried to clearly imagine for myself how this promise could be realized, what Tbilisi should become after this promise was fulfilled. The first thing I noticed then were empty yards, parks, squares and other public spaces. Unfortunately, in 2017, Tbilisi was not as vibrant as I have seen in many European cities. And then I realized that the main thing that can give a city more life is the joy of people, to have more interaction with their city and fellow citizens. Today, we probably all notice the abundance of people in yards, squares and parks, in the central districts of the city or in the suburbs, in cultural and sports spaces. Today, Tbilisi and each of its districts is much fuller of life than it was eight years ago.

Today, our slogan and main promise is - “Peace to Georgia, more goodness to Tbilisi”! We are proud that in a modern world full of challenges, today our country and our capital are a kind of island of peace, which creates a special perspective for its development. Peace allows us to take care of bringing more goodness to our beautiful city. Without peace, it is unthinkable to talk about the development and progress of the city. The fact that we have peace in the country today is a merit of the policy implemented by the Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia, and here I would like to express special gratitude to our honorable chairman, Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili," Kakha Kaladze noted.
