The state was absolutely right towards the Anaklia Development Consortium, we created all the conditions, we even included a note in the Constitution to make the implementation of this project possible, however, they were unable to attract a single investor, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists when responding to the information released by the Ministry of Justice that Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze lost a dispute over the Anaklia Port case in the Washington arbitration as well.
According to Kobakhidze, instead of looking for an investor, they started a dispute with the state and tried to unjustly appropriate people's money.
"It's very simple - the state was absolutely right towards the Anaklia Development Consortium, we created all the conditions, we even included a note in the Constitution to make the implementation of this project possible, however, they were unable to attract a single investor. In return, they started a dispute with the state and tried to take people's money, budget money, unfairly. Of course, in this case, a fair decision was made and the arbitration made exactly the decision that corresponded to reality. We created all the conditions for the consortium in order to attract an investor, however, they ruined this very important project for our country. Accordingly, the arbitration made an absolutely logical decision," the Prime Minister said.
