Mamuka Mdinaradze: ‘Peaceful overthrow’ does not exist—either they don’t know the meaning of ‘overthrow,’ or we’re dealing with some kind of insurance. ‘Peaceful murder,’ is that possible? If someone wants to overthrow, let them do it and face the consequences

“They are so afraid and show such cowardice by pairing the word ‘overthrow’ with ‘peaceful.’ Either they don’t understand the meaning of ‘overthrow’ and lack the intelligence, or we’re dealing with some foolish attempt at insurance,” said Mamuka Mdinaradze, the leader of the parliamentary majority and Executive Secretary of “Georgian Dream.”

According to him, “peaceful overthrow” does not exist, and opponents are trying to cover their calls for overthrow, which is a criminal offense, with the context of peacefulness to protect themselves.

“‘Peaceful murder’—can we talk like that? ‘Peaceful overthrow’ does not exist. If someone uses the word ‘overthrow,’ they should have the courage not to add ‘peaceful’ to it. If they want to overthrow, let them do it and face the appropriate consequences. If they can’t overthrow, they shouldn’t add the word ‘peaceful.’

‘Peaceful slaughter of people’—can you say something like that? That’s the kind of nonsense they’re spouting. They’re pretending to cover themselves because calling for an overthrow is a criminal offense, and they think creating this foolish context will protect them. It doesn’t protect them in any way—not in covering themselves or anything else—when they talk about peaceful overthrow, peaceful murder, or peaceful extermination of people. This word doesn’t provide cover in that context,” stated Mamuka Mdinaradze.
