Salome Zurabishvili: Mzia Amaghlobeli’s lawyer professionally and convincingly demonstrates how many lies and false testimonies were presented by the witness police officers - a “chronicle of systemic lies” is being written before us

“The complete collapse of the prosecution and its accusations - a ‘chronicle of systemic lies’ is being written before us,” wrote Georgia’s fifth President, Salome Zurabishvili, on social media, commenting on the trial of Mzia Amaghlobeli, the founder of “Batumelebi” and “Netgazeti.”

Salome Zurabishvili states that the prosecution is spreading “mutually inconsistent lies.”

“Mzia’s trial: For three hours, the lawyer has been thoroughly, clearly, professionally, and convincingly demonstrating how many lies and false testimonies were presented by the witness police officers… Incompatible lies that ‘don’t hold up,’ contradictory to each other, inconsistent with the submitted video evidence… Unanswered questions from the defense, uncorrected inaccuracies, changing versions, all from the prosecution and its witnesses (all witnesses are police officers and colleagues of the ‘victim police officer’).”

“The complete collapse of the prosecution and its accusations…

A ‘chronicle of systemic lies’ is being written before us,” writes Salome Zurabishvili, who attended Mzia Amaghlobeli’s trial at the Batumi City Court.
