Irakli Kobakhidze to participate in UN conference in Turkmenistan

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will participate in the UN conference, which will be hosted by Turkmenistan.

According to the government administration, within the framework of the working visit, on August 5, the head of the Georgian government is scheduled to deliver a speech at the conference.

Irakli Kobakhidze will focus on Georgia’s strategic location and its role as a corridor connecting the East and the West, which offers significant connectivity opportunities to eight landlocked countries.

As part of the visit, the Georgian Prime Minister will meet face-to-face with the President of Turkmenistan, the host country of the conference, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

Irakli Kobakhidze traveled to the summit with a delegation consisting of Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, and Chief of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani,” reads the press release.
