Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedow on the sidelines of a United Nations conference. This information was disseminated by the Government Administration.

According to the press service, the meeting focused on the cooperation between Georgia and Turkmenistan in various fields, as well as the potential for deepening trade and economic ties.

“The positive dynamics of partnership in the energy sector and the opportunities presented by the Southern Gas Corridor for the transportation of Turkmen natural gas to Europe were highlighted.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the critical importance of peace and stability and the necessity of maximum efforts in this direction.

Irakli Kobakhidze invited the President of Turkmenistan to visit Georgia officially,” the statement reads.
