Irakli Kobakhidze met with the President of Armenia

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, on the sidelines of a United Nations conference. This information was disseminated by the press service of the Government Administration.

According to their statement, the meeting focused on the friendly neighborly relations and strategic partnership between Georgia and Armenia, successful cooperation in various fields, and ongoing processes in the region.

“The critical importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus was highlighted. The Prime Minister stated that a significant step forward in this regard is the joint statement by Armenia and Azerbaijan on the completion of negotiations for a peace agreement. Irakli Kobakhidze reaffirmed the Georgian government’s readiness to facilitate dialogue and, through this, ensure long-term peace and stability in the region.

The meeting was attended by Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, and the Head of the Government Administration, Levan Zhorzholiani,” the statement notes.
