Irakli Kobakhidze: They claim that Georgia is a low level and cannot adopt the laws that European countries adopt

We are told that Georgia is a low level and cannot adopt the laws that European countries adopt – they want to organize a revolution in Georgia, they want to prevent us from adopting a law against the revolution, and they want to protect themselves from revolutions, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated when responding to the information that "a law has been enacted in Sweden that provides for criminal liability for insulting public officials."

As Kobakhidze noted, Georgia needs laws that ensure state and public security.

"The reason for the double standard is only one - they claim that Georgia is a low level and cannot adopt the laws that European countries adopt. Everything is so obvious. They want to organize a revolution in Georgia, they want to prevent us from adopting a law against the revolution, and they want to protect themselves from revolutions. We cannot allow the security of our state to be violated, we cannot deepen such threats. We need laws that ensure the security of our state, public safety. Of course, we will continue to work in this direction," the Prime Minister said.
