Irakli Kobakhidze: It is election season, and as the head of the campaign headquarters, I am directly involved in the processes, so it is physically challenging for me to visit the UN. It would be better if Mikheil Kavelashvili visits the UN this year

“For various reasons, I believe it would be better if Mikheil Kavelashvili visits the UN this year,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to journalists.

As the head of the government noted, the President of Georgia’s visit to New York is absolutely appropriate.

“We will coordinate and hold consultations regarding this. I think it is preferable for the President of Georgia to visit the UN, including for technical reasons. It is election season, and as the head of the campaign headquarters, I am directly involved in the electoral processes, so it is physically challenging for me to visit the UN. Therefore, for various reasons, I believe it would be better if Mikheil Kavelashvili visits the UN this year. The President of Georgia’s visit to New York is absolutely appropriate,” stated Irakli Kobakhidze.
